A challenging commission and new paintings

A challenging but exhilarating commission - and the Cambridge Garden Festival

I've had a very interesting time in the last few weeks.

A challenging private commission

I was asked to do an exceptionally interesting commission to do for a client in the South Island.  The client was introduced to me by Wayne Good (of Arkanda Living & Interiors).  I met her briefly when she was in Cambridge meeting with Wayne to organise the decoration of her new home in Christchurch.

She was a very vibrant, attractive woman who wanted a painting of her five sisters, and her husband, her dog and herself.

This was a challenging project for me, but I love being able to do something totally different and I relished the way that the painting enabled me to push the boundaries of work I had previously done.

Wayne is has opened his interior design shop in Empire Street, Cambridge to complement his consultancy skills. I recommend him and look forward to working together with him.  Check the business out at https://arkanda.co.nz/

Cambridge Garden Festival

I am currently concentrating on the Cambridge Garden Festival to be held on Sunday November 24.

Not only will my garden be open as part of the festival, but I am one of two 'Art in the Garden' exhibitors.  I am preparing a range of new paintings for the exhibition (and they will be for sale), with a number of them being focussed around gardening and flowers. Set aside the day and come and join us - all the ticket sales go to charity.  You can find out more at www.cgf.nz.

Sandra Webb at The Heritage Gallery is one of the main sponsors for the Cambridge Garden Festival, and we are continuing our many years of working together with a special offer.

If you visit the Heritage Gallery before the 30th November 2019 and show them your wristband, you will go into the draw for a painting that I have donated to her and the Garden Festival .

The painting above

I have done the small painting of Cambridge in the photo above this post, which I will keep at home before giving it to The Heritage Gallery for their exhibitions,  in a couple of weeks.

If you would like to buy it give me a call at 021 401 951 or email me on cazo@xtra.co.nz.

I'm always pleased to see you just call me and visit at 19 Queen Street.
