I have been having a lot of fun lately, with paintings that have been commissioned by people. It is always challenging getting my head around what would work for that particular customer, but also v ery fulfilling when it works!
I have attached photos of various commissions that I have done recently and over the years, I loved the whimsy of the Crowes (for a family called Crowe), eating at the table, and I produced two alternative paintings for a person who plays the recorder. She preferred the other one, but this painting is the other version that I painted - with the person playing the recorder on the right hand side.
I recently painted muscle bound shearers on request as well.
Over the years, I have painted commissions for a special painting to be used for the isite in Cambridge, for wine labels, for a retirement gift for the local pharmacists and for the son of a customer who is a mad keen cricketer (photos below).
At the recent Passion for Art - which was fantastic, so lovely to see everyone - a number of people asked me to produce commissioned paintings for them.
If you have been thinking about getting me to do a painting for you of a particular topic or place that interests you - now is a good time - get in touch on cazo@xtra.co.nz or 021 401 951 - or call in and see me (text me first). I look forward to the challenge and fun of producing something special for you.
